Conjunctions are used to join words or sentences. Conjunctions are also known as joining words.
The most common conjunctions are ‘and, but, or’.
• And is used to tell ‘in addition to/ this as well as that’.
• But is used to refer to opposite ideas or things.
• Or is used to choose one out of two.
