Reported Speech

Reported Speech

Reported Speech is used to tell what a person said to him/her, to the third person.

Say I told you that, “You are my friend." Now someone asks you what I told you. Then you have 2 options; either quote the same sentence or tell keeping yourself as the first person, i.e, He (I) told me that I (you) was his friend.

There are some simple rules regarding tenses to learn and rest you are going to study in higher classes.
