Noun is the name of a person, place or thing.



Types of Noun

  • Common Noun:

Boy, Country, Day

  • Proper Noun:

Ram, India, Monday

  • Abstract Noun:

Happiness, Truth, Danger.

  • Collective Noun:

Pack of wolves, Cluster of stars, Shoal of fishes

Some Examples of Nouns

  • Ram is a boy.
  • I live in India.
  • Truth has been spoken
  • Cluster of star looks beautiful at night.

Pronoun is a word that comes in place of noun.


Types of Pronoun

  • Personal Pronoun: I, Me, You, She, It
  • Relative Pronoun: who, whom, whose
  • Demonstrative Pronoun: this, that, these, those
  • Reflexive Pronoun: Myself, herself, itself
  • Possessive Pronoun: his, her

Some Examples of Pronouns

  • This is my pen.
  • I was talking to myself.
  • She is her girlfriend.
