What is a Noun?

A noun is a word used to name a person, animal, place or thing.

Types of noun

Basically, there are two types of nouns and they are Common and Proper nouns. They are discussed below: -  /></span></p>

Remember,

  • A common noun names any person, place, or thing.
  • A proper noun names a specific person, place, or thing.
  • A proper noun always begins with a capital letter.

1.Boy, State (common nouns)

 2.Rakesh, Kolkata (proper nouns)

Pick the Right Pronoun

 1.Use I, we, he, or she when the pronoun is a subject.

  • Urmila plays the violin.

  •  Kailash plays the piano.
  • He plays the piano.

Use me, us, her, him, or them when the pronoun is not a subject.

  • Mom took Sneha shopping.
  • Mom took her shopping.
  • Dad went fishing with Faisal.
